Abstract: The semantic web technologies have been identified as a key enabler for digital humanities. However, the complexity of the semantic web stack raises the threshold for digital humanities. This paper provides a framework of digital humanities semantic support system, which aims to guide the semantic construction of digital humanities resources and provide knowledge service. The platform includes Linked Data Transformation Service (LDTS), Linked Data Query Service (LDQS), Linked Data Reasoning Service (LDPS), Linked Data Publishing Service (LDPS), Linked Data Knowledge Service (LDKS) and Linked Data Computing Service (LDCS). In the components, LDTS, LDTS and LDQS are the basic modules of a semantic application platform, whereas the others the optional ones. The DHRS has been successfully applied to the digital humanities project of East China Normal University (ECNU-DHRS). In addition, ECNU-DHRS also integrates multiple technologies, such as GIS, MARKUS and International Image Interoperability Framework (IIIF), which will support the digital humanities research.
