Abstract: Tie Wang Shan-hu was completed in the Hongzhi period of the Ming dynasty, and then it had a supplement edition in the Zhengde Period. The debate in relation to Tie Wang Shan-hu focuses on two issues: one is its author, and the other is its sequence and content. Based on the existing editions of Tie Wang Shan-hu, bibliographies, and other related literature, this paper states the evolution in the compilation of Tie Wang Shan-hu and its edition circulation and discusses the styles of the prefaces and postscripts of early Chinese fine arts ducuments.
