Abstract: Santitangshi of Pei Yu has long been lost in China, and it is now only collected in Japan. There is very little information about Pei Yu’s life. From his interaction with the Chen family, we can roughly infer the time of his life. This collection in Japan is closely related to another edition with added annotations. To put it simply, the latter one, with various deletions from the original one, is a fake entrusted to Pei Yu’s book, so it is more abridged and suitable for readers. The value of Pei Yu’s annotations lies in the documentary supplements and correctness, and its approximate loss time can be sorted out by referring to Pei Yu’s annotations. Moreover, Pei Yu’s annotations also have high literary value.
