Discussion on the Construction of Standards for LibraryReading Promotion

Abstract: The ultimate goal of library reading promotion research is to guide library practice. The
establishment of reading promotion standards is a concrete transformation of theoretical research results.
This paper analyses the importance of establishing specific standards for reading promotion, and sorts out
how the current library laws and documents define and standardize library reading promotion. Drawing
upon the formulation principles of ISO standard framework and IFLA guidelines, it discusses the stylistic
rules, content elements and frameworks of the integrated library reading promotion standards in China.
