Abstract: Xin’an Nü Xing Lu has twenty volumes. It is the only version collected in the Library of Congress. Cheng Yun peng was a famous literary man during the Qing dynasty. He lived in She, a county in Anhui Province, and his birthplace was Jiangxia. He cared about current affairs and liked travelling. He spent 30 years collecting materials. This book included more than one hundred and twenty articles. It recorded hundreds of women’s deeds of Huizhou during the Ming and Qing dynasties. The version published in the fifteen years of the Qianlong reign was the only edition of the book. Influenced by the literary inquisition, it had some modifications after being carved. So that some articles were lost. As a record of women from Xin’an and their lives, this book saved rich historical documents of folk customs and a large number of women’s social lives in Huizhou. It is an important book about the Huizhou women’s issues.
