Abstract: For a Lasting Peace, For a People’s Democracy! is an official publication of the intelligence
agencies established by the Communist and Workers’ Parties of Nine Socialist Countries in Europe in the
mid-to-late 1940s to act in concert. The journal did a lot of publicity and reports on China’s economic and
social construction and achievements in the early days of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. It
has made great contributions to strengthening mutual trust and lasting friendship between China and other
peace loving and democratic people in the world. It also provides original historical materials for current
scholars to study the process, achievements and experience of China’s economic and social development
in the early days of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. However, very few people know about
this publication and its important role. It is of great significance to review the historical process of its
founding and distribution, to publicize the full picture of China’s social and economic development, and to
affirm the role of the world’s socialist movement on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding
of the Communist Party of China.
