Practices of and Thoughts on Bilingual Information Literacy Education at Academic Libraries under the Background of “Double First-Class”: Taking Shanghai Jiao Tong University Library as an Example

Abstract: This paper analyzes the bilingual information literacy education design of Shanghai Jiao Tong University from the aspect of demand survey, menu design, team building, entrustment mechanism and cooperation mechanism construction, interprets the bilingual teaching practice of the library from the aspects of various bilingual teaching implementation, teaching cooperation modes and instruction method application, and rethinks the practice from the aspect of bilingual teaching team construction, teaching staff ability improvement, teaching theme and type enrichment, and new teaching method and technique application, so as to provide reference for other university libraries to carry out bilingual information literacy education, and support the university’s “double first-class” efforts and international talent cultivation.
