Analysis of the Research Situation of Chinese Citation Index

Abstract

Abstract: This paper analyzes the current research situation of citation index in China based on the
research literature related to citation index in CNKI and Wanfang database. On the basis of elaborating on
the development status of the platform from the aspects of content and function, this paper analyzes the
current research status and progress of citation index in China in the past 20 years by using visualization
software from the dimensions of theme, author, and institution. It further puts forward the development
trend of Chinese citation index research, in order to provide some references for the related research of
citation index in China.
