Abstract: The study of library science scholars is of great significance to the study of library science
history. The research on library science scholars in the Republic of China period is still insufficient. This
paper expounds the basic theoretical problems that need to be clarified. The paper also puts forward the
basis of categorizing historical periods and makes a brief analysis.
