Review of the 85th IFLA Management and Marketing Section Satellite Meeting

Abstract

Abstract: On August 22-23, 2019, a satellite meeting was held by the IFLA Management and Marketing
Section and the Samos Public Library on Samos Island, Greece. More than 30 delegates from 9 countries
attended the two-day academic seminar on how libraries and other cultural institutions can expand new
markets and better serve the new generation through the best media strategies. The conference mainly
includes four topics: innovative library services, new skills of librarians, how to expand the impact of
libraries and the new market for library development.
