Abstract: By selecting the different data sources and analysis methods, this paper explores the influence
of the Altmetrics bibliomeric on traditional citation measurement method, and analyses how these indicators
evaluate the individual article. With the citation counts of papers on research hotspots from ESI database and the measurement indicators of Altmetrics from Scopus database, this paper tries analyzing the correlation and differences between traditional citation evaluation index and the measurement indexes of Altmetrics by way of SPSS. The results show that the papers under study do not necessarily obtain high Altmetrics
scores. And the further research finds that 2 main factors from 5 measurement indicators, i.e., social media factor and academic reference factor, can be sufficient to evaluate a paper’s influence by different groups using and diffusing these papers. The publication mode of literature can also differ vastly in terms of the evaluation index.
