Abstract:

Based on the Union Catalogue for Foreign, Hong Kong and Taiwan Science Technology Periodicals Subscription
in East China, the paper tracks the two-decade changes of resource construction and resource sharing by libraries in Shanghai
region, especially regarding foreign periodicals. It narrates the acquisitions of foreign periodicals of various formats, summarizes
experience of foreign acquisitions, and proposes innovative ways of resource sharing by means of new technologies.
