Research and Practice of Intelligent Localization and Navigation System in Smart Libraries
Ma Ling, Lu Yahong, Shi Xiaohua, Xing Zhuoyuan
Libraly Journal. 2026, 45 (3): 14-21.
Intelligent indoor positioning and navigation services are a crucial application for future smart libraries. Traditional library indoor navigation applications are typically limited to basic spatial layout displays and limited pointquery navigation, and they rarely support locationbased querying and navigation for library collections. This paper integrates the demands for smart library positioning navigation and explores the combined application of 5G transmission technology, Bluetooth positioning, and FOLIO microservices technology. Using the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Library as an example, an intelligent positioning navigation system is designed to achieve precise navigation to the physical locations of collections, helping users optimize the complete process from information retrieval to acquiring the books. This effectively addresses the “last step” challenge of obtaining target books in the smart library scenario, significantly enhancing users efficiency in locating books and their borrowing experience.

A New Pathway for Health Science Popularization: A Practical Case Study of Medical Libraries Engagement in Live Streaming Initiatives
Zhao Mengyuan, Ye Qi, Wang Yin, Hou Xuelin, Ying Jun
Libraly Journal. 2026, 45 (3): 44-52.
Medical libraries can utilize their advantages in resources, technology and manpower to carry out livestreamed health science popularization activities, thereby fulfilling their social and educational functions. This study takes a series of health science popularization livestreaming activities undertaken by Fudan University Medical Library as a case study. Drawing on activity theory, it analyzes the activity elements and interactive behaviors involved in health science popularization live streaming. Using the narrative framework of “science popularization motivationlive streaming deployment and implementationscience popularization outcome”, the activities are systematically examined through six elements: subject, object, tool, community, rules and division of labor. Based on their interactions, the interrelated systems are establised: content production system, narrative sharing system, behavioral norms system, and external collaboration system. Together, these systems outline the action pathway for medical libraries to participate in livestreamed health science popularization. This study provides a reference for libraries and other professional organizations to launch sustainable science popularization activities through live streaming. It further suggests that effective health science popularization practices can be advanced by embracing new health communication technologies, activating scientists science popularization potential, and collaborating with multiple actors to cocreate valuedriven science popularization networks.

Constructing the Dataset and Implementing the Retrieval System for the Synopsis Bibliography
Yan Xinjie, Xiao Zhuo, Lu Ziyan, Xu Jian
Libraly Journal. 2026, 45 (3): 53-65.
Synopsis bibliography represents a crucial embodiment of the principles of ancient Chinese bibliographic studies, characterized by “distinguishing academic disciplines and tracing the origin and development of knowledge”. As such, it holds an immense scholarly value. However, existing synopsis bibliography resources are fragmented and uneven in quality, impeding advancements in synopsisbased research applications. In this study, adhering to the principles of comprehensiveness, authority, copyright protection, and careful version selection, 47 synopsis bibliographies were digitized and processed to extract 24 data fields—including title, volume count, category, edition, and contributor, resulting in a dataset of 59,624 records. Leveraging a finetuned GujiBERT model, 1,669,117 entity records were automatically extracted from the texts. Concurrently, an online retrieval platform was developed to enable visualized fulltext search and dataset downloads. This digital processing method enhances the efficiency of synopsis bibliography management and utilization, while the constructed dataset provides new support for indepth analyses of character profiles, geographical relationships, and evaluative features in ancient texts, thereby promoting the deep mining and sharing of ancient literature information.

Research on User Requirements for Digital
Scholarship Services in University Libraries under the AI4S Framework: A Case
Study of Wuhan University
Zhou Lihong, Zhang Rui, Miao Hanyu, Quan Qian
Libraly Journal. 2026, 45 (3): 77-87.
Artificial Intelligence for Science (AI4S) brings significant opportunities and breakthroughs for scientific research, while providing a new guideline for university libraries to optimize digital academic services and advance the development of smart libraries. This paper takes Wuhan University as an example to investigate user requirements for digital scholarship services in the context of AI4S. Through indepth interviews with researchers and librarians at Wuhan University, it identifies 6 major service stages with a total of 28 user requirements. A questionnaire survey combined with the Kano model is subsequently employed to validate and hierarchically classify these requirements. The study found that Wuhan University Library has begun to explore the application of AI technologies to the construction of smart learning spaces, the provision of intelligent facilities and equipment, and AI literacy training. The hierarchical classification of user requirements further reveals the strong user demand for AIenabled services. Overall, this paper can help university libraries to understand user requirements more accurately, provide more precise and personalized services, and thus improve service quality and user satisfaction.

Dual Dysregulation of Utility and Emotion: A Study on Intermittent Discontinuation Behavior of Users in Generative Intelligent Search
Le Chengyi, Wang Hao, Wang Zixin, Lu Ting
Libraly Journal. 2026, 45 (3): 88-99.
The study explores the influencing factors and formation mechanisms of users intermittent discontinuation behavior in generative intelligent search, offering reference for user retention and engagement on the platform. Based on social cognitive theory and cognitive dissonance theory, the generative intelligent search experience dissonance is divided into two dimensions: emotional experience dissonance and utilitarian experience dissonance. A model of users intermittent discontinuation behavior is constructed from the perspectives of individual prior cognitive factors and the affordance environment. Structural equation modeling is used for empirical analysis. The results indicate that content integration failure and questionanswer interaction failure in generative intelligent search significantly affect users utilitarian experience dissonance, which in turn leads to intermittent discontinuation behavior. Among these factors, content integration failure has a more significant impact on discontinuation behavior. In addition, individual prior cognitive factors, such as perceived risk of artificial intelligence generated content (AIGC) and expected efficacy, significantly affect emotional experience dissonance, thereby influencing discontinuation behavior. Furthermore, utilitarian experience dissonance indirectly affects discontinuation behavior through the mediating role of emotional experience dissonance.

Wang Yuxiao
Libraly Journal. 2026, 45 (3): 121-131.
As the thirdgeneration proprietor of Wenxueshanfang Bookstore in Suzhou, Jiang Chengbo represents a significant figure in the development and evolution of Chinas antiquarian book trade. This paper reviews Jiang Chengbos career in the antiquarian book industry, analyzing the formation of his “affinity for old books” during his childhood. It examines his management of Wenxueshanfang Bookstore, dividing this period into three phases: initial involvement in bookstore operations, the beginning of his apprenticeship, and his eventual takeover of the bookstores management. It then examines his tenure at the Suzhou antiquarian bookstore, outlining three stages: his early employment at the bookstore, the disruption caused by political upheavals, and his return to professional practice. Finally, it reviews his postretirement dedication and the revival of Wenxueshanfang Bookstore. The paper summarizes his historical and cultural contributions in three key areas: the preservation of rare and valuable editions, with remarkable achievements in book acquisition; the continuation of readeroriented service principles; and the cultivation of industry talent to sustain the legacy of literary culture. By highlighting his professional perseverance and dedication, this study provides a valuable reference for research on the history of Chinas antiquarian book trade.
