Abstract: Through evaluating the current supply of library’s data literacy services (DLS) in the Chinese universities, this study tries to bring some valuable references for more effective work in the future. Based on a cross-section data of ‘double first-class’ Chinese universities in 2018, this work makes an empirical evaluation of the supply of library’s DLS from the perspective of service approaches, and then analyzes the differences using a radar diagram. The sample shows a positive skewed distribution whereas the overall supply of library’s DLS is still at a low level. There are significant gradient differences in DLS supply among the ‘double first-class’ universities. While the ‘985-Universities’ have obvious advantages in DLS, the non- 211 ‘double first-class’ universities are relatively weak. The results also suggest that, besides strengthening the development of digital resources, the libraries of Chinese universities should take full advantage of flexible services with lower costs, such as lectures/training, activities/competitions, and online training.
