Abstract: Book sorting is the basic work of the literature circulation management. In recent years, more and more libraries try to introduce automatic sorting technology to improve the efficiency of book sorting. AGV sorting is a new automatic sorting technology, which has been maturely applied in the logistics industry. This paper focuses on the application of AGV sorting in book sorting. First it introduces the working principle of AGV sorting, compares and analyzes the five types of the book automatic sorting technologies. It then analyzes the book sorting technology of AGV from four aspects such as function design, process design, outlets design and effectiveness. Finally it forecasts the future of the application of AGV to book sorting.
