Abstract: In the current 14th 5-Year Plan for library and library science, we find that there are different focuses between the communities of library and library science, where the professional community is devoted to the current development and the academic community stresses its long-term goal. Under such conditions with enlightenments by national policies and international plans, from the view of academic libraries, we suggest to combine the plan of library with that of library science to we encourage the library and library science to have a win-win cooperation.
