Abstract: For a long time,many scholars have suggested that the compilation style catalogue in Wenxian Tongkao-Jingji Kao derived from Chu SanzangJi Ji by monk You in the Liang Dynasty.However, after researching the compilation rules of Wenxian Tongkao and Ma Duanlin’s home education,you’ll find the creative use of the compilation style has nothing to do with monk You’s book.The establishment of the compilation style is determined by two essential factors:the way of Ma Duanlin’s reading and writing history which has been influenced by his family,and the compiling semantic cases to combine literature,document and verification.Although Jingji Kao has the characteristic of catalogue,but as a part of Wenxian Tongkao, it has to be consistent with the compilation rules of the book.
