Abstract: Zhu Junsheng’s Shuowen Tongxun Dingsheng is an important linguistics classics achievement on the study of Shuowen in Qing Dynasty. There are many versions, while with very little indexed version. Understanding the similarities and differences of the characteristics and indexing between different versions can be proven to save user’s time. This article summarizes experiences on use index of "Ding sheng", introduces some techniques about the indexes, corrects some errors on index version and prospect some directions on index direction.
