摘要: 读者发展,是一项以读者为中心的工作。它以读者及其阅读体验为出发点,主张对阅读积极介入,增强人们的阅读信心,提升人们阅读的愉悦感,开放读者的阅读选择,为读者分享阅读体验创造机会,以提高阅读作为一项创造性活动的社会地位。

Abstract: “Reader Development” as practiced by Opening the Book company in Britain is a piece of work that is reader-centred. It starts with the reader and the individual reading experience, advocating active intervention to increase people’s confidence and enjoyment of reading, expand people’s choices, offer opportunities for people to share their reading experience, and elevate the status of reading as a creative activity.
