Abstract:

People generally regard library’s main function as providing digital resources while igoring its role in social
education. London Idea Store is acknowledged as a new type of library, which has adopted a series of characteristic and
effective measures for social education. It thus brings valuable lessons for libraries in China that should fulfill the role
of social education, promote citizen’s cultural cultivation, and advance their own social value.
