Professional Think Tank Research, written by Wang Shiwei, reveals the innovative development
path of professional think tanks from the endogenous motivation and exogenous environment, and provides
guidance for social science research and its researchers to raise their voice in scientific decision-making. It
summarizes six major features of think tanks, including smart strategies and planning, profound academic
skills, intelligence analysis capabilities and practices, frontier technology applications, publicity and policy
education, prospective and predictive research. These criteria can also be used to evaluate social science
researchers, and promote the healthy development of the professional teams.
