The Innovative Style and Historical Value of Light of Chinese Traditional Printing: From the Perspective of Science and Technology History

Light of Chinese Traditional Printing breaks through the paradigm of “history of printing books” and “macro-history of printing” and forms its unique style of “micro-history of printing”. It adopts special printing methods such as HD copy and block printing, as well as traditional binding forms such as thread-bound and scale-like binding. It also conducts a detailed study on rare techniques such as wax block printing, porcelain printing and clay matrix, which is of high historical value and artistic value.

As the most important breakthrough in scientometrics in this century, the research on H-type indices has become one of the most important research focuses in the field of scientometrics and research evaluation both in china and over the world in the past 10 years. In the book H-type Indices and H-type Measures, Star X. Zhao and the co-authors summarize H-index and H-type measures that are characterized by the core concept of H-index. It is a must-read for the academia to understand H-index, H-type measures, evaluation index and even scientometrics.

Professional Think Tank Research, written by Wang Shiwei, reveals the innovative development path of professional think tanks from the endogenous motivation and exogenous environment, and provides guidance for social science research and its researchers to raise their voice in scientific decision-making. It summarizes six major features of think tanks, including smart strategies and planning, profound academic skills, intelligence analysis capabilities and practices, frontier technology applications, publicity and policy education, prospective and predictive research. These criteria can also be used to evaluate social science researchers, and promote the healthy development of the professional teams.
