Abstract:

This paper is different from the average research perspective of information systems. We consider the Chinese morphemes and define the chemical morphemes. This paper divides the chemical morphemes into three categories: coremorphemes, auxiliary morphemes and other morphemes (figures, letters and so on).
According to their different expressive functions, morphemes can reflect the differences of the knowledge quantity of the terminologies. On this basis, we work out five knowledge quantity regulations of chemical morphemes, and develop a knowledge quantity calculation model for the chemical terminologies. This paper
reflects the terminologies specialization by the knowledge quantity, verifies the validity of the theoretical model and the regulations and lays the foundation of the virtual vocabulary in chemistry.
