Abstract: Users in a library can be categorized into three groups, digital pioneers, digital followers and traditional users. We concluded that personalized and innovative services should be provided according to the users’ digital ability. For digital pioneers, we could provide a fashionable space displaying new technologies. For digital followers, we should try improving their user experience and offer more lifeoriented information. For traditional users, inclusive design to reduce their difficulty in using technology use should be considered the focus of efforts. Providing services according to attributes of different reader groups could maximize the equality among people with different technology skills and literary levels to acquire knowledge.
