Surveying and Analyzing of Chinese Universities Digital PreservationTrading Status

Abstract

Abstract:

Libraries must obtain authorization from database venders if they want to carry out long-term preservation ofdigital resources. According to database group purchasing proposals of CALIS/DRAA from 2007 to early 2012, we analyzedthe number, ways and the specific content of our universities digital preservation trading. We also analyzed the problems bycomparing the analysis results with the policies of libraries and the policies of database venders. In the end, we put forwardsome suggestions for improvement.
