On Attaching Importance to the Construction of Library Foundation to Promote the Development of Libraries in China

Abstract

Abstract: Public cultural services call for multiple inputs. Thus it is an inevitable societal trend to strengthen library foundation under the market economy environment. In view of the fact that library foundation boosts regional culture, this paper elaborates on the practice of library foundation at home and abroad, and analyses their problems as well as putting forth suggestions accordingly. The author aims to draw the public attention to the construction of library foundation, so that it could becomes an indispensable force for the development of libraries in China.
