Abstract:

This paper studied the website construction of ‘985’ university libraries. Information architecture (IA), user interface (UI) and digital library related theory and methodology are used for the analysis and evaluation of the current situation of these libraries’ websites. Thus conclusion is made on the exist inadequacies, such as the non-unified identification terminology, non-clear meaning, lacking of logic on the columns, lacking of tricks on the layout design, color selection and matching, lacking of functions on the website set, etc. Finally, the library website construction framework theory and method are described.
