Abstract:

This paper first introduces the current status of NSTL Union Catalog System, and presents the meaning and necessity of reestablishing the system. Then, due to the deficiencies of MARC, it analyzes the different types of scientific literature resources of NSTL, and designs the logical data structure. Taking the conference proceedings as an example, it identifies the features of entities and the relationships between different entities. The logical structure of literature data is used to generate metadata and guide the realization of system.
