Digital Humanities and Open Data in China: Progress, Pain Pointsand Development Thinking

Abstract:

Open data is an important part of the innovation and development of digital humanities.It’s of great significance for the innovation of knowledge production paradigm of digital humanities tosystematically cognize and think about the progress, pain points and development of open data for digitalhumanities. Through document analysis and case analysis, this paper combed the basic situation of theconstruction of open data for digital humanities in our country, and analyzed the core pain points of opendata for digital humanities. On this basis, it put forward the countermeasures and paths for the sustainabledevelopment of open data for digital humanities in China. At present, there are still some deficiencies inopen willingness, open service, open cooperation and open usage. In the future, it needs to be promotedfrom the perspectives of strengthening financial and policy support, meeting service scenarios and userneeds, creating win-win cooperation and value co-creation mechanisms, and promoting the cognitionand usage of open data.
