Abstract: As an important part of red culture resources, CPC history themed art works have more prominent educational and aesthetic functions besides artistic appreciation value. From the perspective of digital humanities, in-depth excavation and analysis of the connotation of art works of such is conducive to the development and utilization of red cultural resources to meet the development requirements of the big data era and to broaden the field of digital humanities research. In this paper, the video resources of History of the Party in Art Classics are used as data source to construct the metadata framework and ontology attribute model of CPC history themed art works. Taking 10 paintings related to the historical event of “Long March of the Red Army” as an example, the ontology modeling and instance filling are carried out with the help of Protégé ontology editor to realize visualization. Finally, Neo4j graph database is used to store ontology knowledge and construct knowledge graph, so as to realize fine-grained analysis and three-dimensional association of knowledge units of party history themed art works. The study lays a foundation for semantic organization and digital humanistic application of red culture resources.
