The Social Contribution of Library Science Education in theUniversity of Nanking: From the Perspective of Graduates

Abstract: Jinling University was one of the important places for library science education in theRepublic of China period. Using the methods of literature research and historical research, this paperdeeply excavates the historical materials related to library science education in Jinling University,especially the original materials such as those in historical archives. From the perspective of graduates,this paper reviews and combs the historical contributions of the Jinling University in promoting thedevelopment of library cause, the progress of education cause, scientific research innovation and servingthe society. This paper analyzes the successful contribution of Jinling University at the social level and itsenlightenment to the development of library science education today.
