Abstract: This paper summarizes the theoretical research results on the governance objects, governance concepts, governance models and foreign experience of public culture, as well as the practical research results in rural and urban areas. It finds that these researches have the characteristics of increasing micro, case and quantitative analysis and enriching research content. Meanwhile, there exist a difference in basic concepts and deficiency in practical operability and systematicness, integration and applicability, which the research in the future should focus on.
