Abstract:

The establishment of Yinzhou Senior High School Library has recently triggered a debate on the ideal
service model of libraries, which is expected to tailor services to owners’ demands and objective conditions. In the reality,
however, the ideal model cannot be realized primarily due to administrative intervention and metaphysical public
mentality. It being the case, public enlightenment and awareness of public governance of libraries will be needed in
future.
