The Success Factors of Embedded University Library Service in Teaching

Abstract

Abstract:

This paper introduces the concept of embedded librarianship in teaching and demonstrates
its success factors by means of case studies of several university libraries that has successfully provided
embedded services. Five key factors are highlighted, namely, advanced service concept, abundant teaching
resources, qualified embedded librarians, effective communication and cooperation, as well as active marketing
strategy.
