Abstract:

Outsourcing is the inevitable trend of the development of library, whereas the selection of
suppliers is the key to success. This paper analyzes the factors that should be considered in evaluating service
providers for acquisition and cataloguing, through an integrated adoption of the analytic hierarchy process
(ahp) and linear distribution method. By building up an evaluation system, the paper expounds the evaluation
methodology, and wishes to provide guidance for library outsourcing.
