Library-based Courses in Public Libraries to Improve InformationLiteracy of Minors: Taking Library Lesson 1 Project of JiaxingLibrary as an Example

Abstract

Abstract: This paper introduces and analyses the content and implementation process of the Library
Lesson 1 project in Jiaxing Library. Based on the achievements of the central-branch system of the Jiaxing
Library, the project designs and develops “menu-based” education and experiential practice classes by
means of pre-interview, research and curriculum design, which deepens the functions of social education
and reading guidance of public libraries, and provides basic rules for lifelong education, independent
decision-making and cultural development of individuals and social groups.
