Abstract: The Manifesto of the Communist Party of China, passed by the 2nd National Congress of
the Communist Party of China, was the first public manifesto by CCP. Because of its importance in the
CCP history, the author collated the current edition, as included in The Political Proposition of the CCP
in the Past Five Years published in 1926, and discovered a lot of differences in sequence number, text and
punctuation. Some discrepancy could distort historical information. In particular, the original document
read that it was written in May 1922, which might be the real time of formulation, rather than a mistake.
