A Study on Shujian by Tu Long and the Course of the Development of Bibliology during the Reign of Jiajing and Wanli of the Ming Dynasty

Abstract:

Shujian contains several parts reviewing, selling, engraving, printing, pricing, proofreading, storing and
appreciating. The author carries out an in-depth and detailed research into various aspects of the study of bibliology.
However, the book was fabricated by booksellers of the Ming Dynasty in name of Tu Long for the purpose of
making money. Nevertheless, this book is of great value in the study of bibliology during the Ming Dynasty.
