Abstract: During the conversion of bibliographic records to linked data, the extraction of work information is of great significance. Due to the uniqueness of the publishing forms and cataloging practices, the bibliographic records in Chinese cataloging are particularly complex for the extraction of the work information, especially for the analytic works. By summarizing the CNMARC fields used in the work information and the common description methods, the rules for extracting and matching work information on all levels are proposed. The extracting principle is to ensure that there is no difference in the works extracted by different description methods. The results of the work extraction are discussed through sample analysis.
