Reform of Literature Retrieval Optional Based on Blended Learning: Taking East China University of Science and Technology as An Example

Abstract: Traditional classroom methods cannot meet the reqirements of literature retrieval optional that invovles students from different majors. Blended learning, combining online teaching and classroom interaction, addresses the very issue by teaching general education content via case studies and classroom learning, while teaching specialty knowledge through online platform. Such a model could effectively motivates students to learn, and increase the learning efficiency. It could also promote their abilities in learning, information processing, cooperation and communication.
