Abstract: PhD thesis has a high degree of academic value. It is necessary to compile the content index in order to facilitate retrieval. The indexing process is often full of questions such as index heading selection, indexing environment issues, and indexers’ qualifications. This paper, taking the compilation of Textual-research on Sa-du-la’s Life and His Work index as an example, introduces the solutions for future reference.
