Abstract:

The BIBFRAME model provides the possibility for expanding collection bibliographic data to semantic web. This article first elaborates on the mechanism of library collection semantization based on the ontology and BIBFRAME, including the extraction of subject core concepts, the determination of semantic relations between subject concepts, mapping between subject concept and collection entity, and the visualization of the subject semantic knowledge network. It then takes “information retrieval” collection as an example to discusss the mechanism of library collection semantization related to “information retrieval”, and realize and the visual semantic knowledge network. Finally, it discusses the practical application value of library collection semantization in the semantic web, the visual platform and the users’ autonomous learning.
