Abstract: Intelligent indoor positioning and navigation services are a crucial application for future smart libraries. Traditional library indoor navigation applications are typically limited to basic spatial layout displays and limited pointquery navigation, and they rarely support locationbased querying and navigation for library collections. This paper integrates the demands for smart library positioning navigation and explores the combined application of 5G transmission technology, Bluetooth positioning, and FOLIO microservices technology. Using the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Library as an example, an intelligent positioning navigation system is designed to achieve precise navigation to the physical locations of collections, helping users optimize the complete process from information retrieval to acquiring the books. This effectively addresses the “last step” challenge of obtaining target books in the smart library scenario, significantly enhancing users efficiency in locating books and their borrowing experience.
