Research and Practice on Literature Donation Management Platform from the Perspective of User Demand: A Case Study of Peking University Library

Abstract:

Literature donation is one of the important ways for libraries to enrich their collections yetcurrent donation management practices still face challenges such as complex processes lack of donor relationship management and insufficient visibility of donated literature. Through an investigation of literature donation models policies and methods in domestic and international university libraries this study examines the systematic construction of literature donation services and introduces the idea of auser-demand-oriented literature donation management platform which clarifies the donation processoffers real-time feedback and ensures effective management of the donated materials. This study providesan effective way for university libraries to optimize their literature donation services.
