Deeper or Wider: A Study on the Core Values of Cultural and Creative Product Design in Public Libraries

Abstract: The design of cultural and creative products in public libraries serves as an important pathwayfor the creative transformation and innovative development of high-quality cultural resources in theircollections. It is also a significant vehicle for promoting excellent traditional culture advancing universalreading and building a society imbued with the fragrance of books . Based on empirical research intothe current practices of cultural and creative product development in domestic and international librariesas well as insights into consumer attitudes and user behaviors this study discusses several key issues suchas development goals target audiences intellectual property pricing strategies and revenue sharing.Furthermore it proposes several core values for the design of cultural and creative products in publiclibraries it should activate library collections and leverage the library‘s educational functions fulfill the library’s mission and empower the promotion of   reading for all explore collection resources andpromote excellent traditional culture prioritize children‘s cultural and creative products with appropriateguidance enhance the library’s image and highlight the value of library space and adopt preferentialpricing strategies to support the librarianship profession.
