Abstract: This paper takes promotion activities of the National Library of China regarding its the audiovisual
resource for example, and elaborates on their innovations, which hopefully will provide reference for
other libraries in offering audio-visual services. The paper, based on three themed activities, summarizes
achieved results of the activities, analyzes their shortcomings and proposes corresponding solutions.
Innovative audio-visual services require well-planned themes, active participation of readers and in-depth
collaboration with other organizations so that the activities will achieve desired goals.
