On Jiangnan Culture and the Founding and Development of the National Library of China

Abstract

Abstract: This paper tries to explore the cultural code of the development history of the National Library
of China for more than one hundred years through the endogenic factors of culture itself. Starting from the
Jiangnan culture, this paper first discusses that it provides the cultural soil for the founding of the National
Library. It then expounds that the Jiangnan culture has injected important development resources into the
National Library, including human resources and literature resources.It continues to discusses that Jiangnan
culture provides a reference for the reform and innovation of the library, and points out that the relation
between development of regional culture and that of library undertakings is a new and important research
perspective.
