Additional Annotation about Yu Jiaxi’s “Jilu  ” Explanation: Study on the “Jilu  ” of the Collections Compilation in Liuchao Dynasty

Abstract: “Jilu” is the important conception to describe the collecions in the Northern and Southern
dynasties, which contains two aspects of meaning: the chapters and text; the “Xulu” (abstract of the
collections) of the collections.“Jilu” is also able to examine the collections compilation in Liuchao dynasty,
for example: collectins are the independent category, so the historical records haven’t the function of
preserve the works of literature; so many collctions lead to the compilation of “Xulu” (abstract of the
collections).“Jilu” is the abbreviation of the abstract of the collections, and has the similar function of
“jixu”(preface of the collections) and “Xulu”.
