Abstract:  The statistical work is the basis for academic libraries to carry out the evaluation work, and
it is an important means for academic libraries to conduct scientific management. Through the analysis
of the development of academic libraries in the new era and the current statistical indicator system of
Chinese academic libraries, this paper proposed some principles and development ideas of constructing a
new generation of academic library’s statistical indicator system
