Innovative Measures of Subject Collection Development at Academic Libraries and Their Enlightenment: Taking Shanghai Jiao Tong University Library as an Example

Abstract

Abstract:

Taking Shanghai Jiao Tong University Library as an example, this paper interprets the innovative measures of subject resource development from the perspective of personnel reform conducive to subject resource development, organizational restructuring, and proportional setup of subject resources.
It emphasizes the sustainable development of subject collection, and, to this end, recommends revealing proportions of subject, resources formulating standards for acquisition of subject collections, strengthening research methods of subject resource allocation, and valuing users’ feedbacks.
