Review of the Editions of Wen Yanbo’s Collected Works

Abstract:

Wen Yanbo is a famous politician and litterateur of the Song Dynasty, Wen Yanbo’s Collected Works consisted of 40 volumes. Based on study of bibliographia, preface and postscript of past dynasties,general collections and personal collections, and research findings, the paper systematically combed the edition system and flowing deformation of Wen Yanbo’s Collected Works. So as to choose and follow the right in collating Wen Yanbo’s Collected Works. The studies have shown that the surving edition of Wen Yanbo’s Collected Works has two initial versions: one is Wenruilou Chaoben(文瑞楼钞本), the other is Mingke Ben(明刻本). The later editions are all originated from them. Jijiao Ben(季校本), Jiangjiao Ben (江校本) and Fujiao Ben(傅校本) all are collated Mingke Ben(明刻本) according to Wenruilou Chaoben (文瑞楼钞本).
